In a Shawnee Mission, Kansas (for that extra touch of irony) [school, a dark-skinned lass confronted](https://kansascitydefender.com/justice/shawnee-mission-east-racial-assault-response/) a light-skinned lass about the excessive use of N-shaped epithets. It was a conversational encounter, with minimal/no acrimony. As the dark-skinned lass turned to go on her way, a light-skinned lad confronted her non-cordially, with loud vulgarity, followed by kerfufflery.        The dark-skinned lass spent some time in a hospital with a broken nose. The lad has been suspended (not expelled) from school. They are actively supporting racism. It seems like the school is opening itself up to a shit ton of liability here. I’d bet the ACLU would help that girl sue the crap out of that school. ---

I hear punishing all sides of a bullying incident regardless of circumstances is common with zero tolerance policies and such in schools. ---

I’d be fine with an end to zero tolerance policies. They often end up punishing the victim, as in this case. ---
