Yeah. I can smell what it smelled like when new or when 5-10 years old. Trapped SoCal dust and all. Ahhh, the sweet smell of youth then and nostalgia now. Assuming that’s a modern-ish photo of a junkyard car, I really don’t want to smell what it smells like when the picture was taken; rotting foam rubber and animal urine is not good. 25 yo ciggie smoke too. ---

I tried to drive a Geo Metro from Logan Airport to Montpelier, Vermont in a whiteout blizzard. We made it to a little north of Manchester in about three hours. I was basically behind an 18-wheeler most of the way and that’s the only way I knew I was still on a road. After a dozen or so incidents of slippage and slideage, we bailed and got a motel. Talk about white knuckling it. I still have nightmares about that drive. ---

Piffle. I would regularly drive my 1974 Honda Civic down NY 81 from Watertown to Syracuse through a foot of snow on the road. No visibility. Just white knuckle it and hope for the best. Young and extremely dumb. ---
