Burt & Heather Gummer inspired my custom colonies in [RimWorld.](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/rimworld-old-west-meets-sci-fi/730244/69) Buncha heavily-armed pawns deliberately setting up a compound on the Rim, the name of which tends to be “Gummer” + some terrain feature.
