When I lived almost on the banks of the Mississippi I’ve certainly tasted fresh river catfish and loved it. I’d never encountered the term “paddlefish” except in those articles. I may need a field trip back to paddlefish country to get some. ---

In my native country, Zimbabwe, catfish are “catch and release” - I know in some areas they are eaten, but … no. When you can get bream or tigers in the same water, who would eat catfish? ---

Well, I dislike to actively loathe all fresh water fish anyway, so catfish is just one more of the list. I might eat it if the alternative was starvation. _Might_. Of course, my Personalized Modular Food Storage Unit means I could survive for years just on backup supplies! 😛 ---
