A 33-year-old African-American New York woman catfished a 19-year-old Pakistani man online using a filter to look like a younger white woman, somehow convinced him to marry her sight unseen, then traveled to Pakistan to be with him - upon which he immediately abandoned her after realizing he’d been had. One has to be amazed at how could she expect that to work out. The whole “if I want it hard enough it will become real” thing really has a powerful hold on people… (followed by “if I make enough of a pest of myself they’ll pay me to go away”). But it seems this lady has mental health issues so that may explain how she got to where she is. ---

I know he was being a dumb teenager. Which may be redundant, come to think of it. But you got to hand it to him - he actually did get a human woman to fly halfway around the world to be with him. Granted, under false pretenses and somebody with some clear psychological issues, but still. ---
