I guess determining the why’s of his specific situation is nice and all but when somebody is running around outside naked firing guns wildly without regard for the safety of themself, their children, or any bystanders, the academic exercise of determining their particular pathology is very low on my list of priorities. ---

Same here, but I do find it useful to push back when someone suggests he acts that way because Trump’s rubbing off on him. That guy is a Trump supporter because he’s crazy, he’s not crazy because he’s a Trump supporter. ---

Other people who do this either harass the victims or repost the images on the internet–he apparently did neither. But he did lose his million dollar a year job–and it wouldn’t surprise me if his wife and three children leave him. ---

The transition tends to be rapid, and the other half of **bi** -polar is usually a phase of depression, in which he probably lacks the energy/motivation to apologize because he is so down. ---

Or is just as much of an asshole while in the depressive phase as the manic phase. Never attribute to complicated mental health concerns what can more readily be attributed to basic garden-variety assholishness. Doesn’t work for everybody every time, but it works for most people most of the time. ---
