According to the article the drivers were “innocent citizens being paid unsuspectingly”, which is a bit more than ambiguous, I admit. Also, per the article “agents observed abnormalities in the tractor trailer” but “a four hour search of the vehicle eventually resulted in the discovery of “two aftermarket compartments near the refrigeration unit of the trailer”". Sounds like they unloaded the trailer? Because the amount shown in the pile couldn’t be stored outside in “aftermarket compartments.” I think they got a tip and are just pretending they were smarties. ---

An 18yo has spent almost their entire life under the watchful eye of one or more vid cams. I suppose familiarity breeds contempt, but you’d sorta think instead being regularly busted by Mom for doing [whatever] would have them at least considering the possibility that those cameras they see everywhere around the facility just might be seeing them too? Naah. ---

An 18-year-old employee. Quite likely their first full-time job. Not accustomed yet to being chewed up and spit out by non-human corporate procedures and restrictions. Possibly lashing out at the prospect of spending the rest of their life in similar environments. By doing so, has very cleverly reduced the likelihood of that happening. ---
