IME, the dildos in non-human colors tend to be inhumanly large too. And inhumanly shaped. In this case of a green one, the Hulk jokes write themselves. Most modern sporting events have a “dumbed down” variant of airport security to get in. No opaque or large backpacks, take your metal & electronics out of your pockets, walk through the metal detector, collect your crap, show your ticket, _then_ you’re inside. I’d assume a WNBA game is no different. It’s summer now, so no conveniently heavy coats to disguise large tubular lumps in anatomically inappropriate places. Which has me asking how he smuggled it in, and what his backup plan was if Security found it and asked him to show them what it was. ---

Did you remember to turn off Google safe search? I remember the term around here, but IIRC it was already legendary, perhaps even apocryphal, by the time I joined in 2003. I’m quite sure I never saw the thread it originated from. I just did some quick Discourse searching back around 2000. Wow was this a sexier board back then. So were most of us. ---

I gotta say that if I wanted a poster child for basement dwelling failure to launch with incel tendencies, that dude’s pic would be a darn strong candidate. I can see a silly hormonally crazed 14yo boy doing something like that at a high school basketball game. Back when we were 14 in the early 1970s that would have been funny and probably gotten nothing more than a lot of tsk tsks from school administration and little more. Age 18 in 2025 at a televised pro sporting event? Stupid MFer for sure. Allegedly he did it to copy some popular online meme. Oops. On the other hand, I don’t have a problem with it being considered a hate crime, since it was clearly meant to denigrate the supposed sexual orientation of the players involved in the match. (It looks like it’s not being prosecuted as one though.) ---

You’ve got a good point there. If that’s the underlying message of the social media meme, then yes, hate crime is appropriate. I suppose that goes to his motivation: express contempt for WNBA players, or get some clicks for an inherently silly stunt? Somehow this goof sounds a lot more stupid than evil. But I might be wrong about that. Inciting hate crimes, stochastic terrorism, etc. Interesting problems in free speech that were not anticipated by the Founding Fathers. ---
