Spent days before this telling his wife who had left him that he was going to kill himself, and records show that more gas was released into the house than could be explained by a leak. He had plumbing knowledge. He ended up with burns over 75% of his body ---

My close bison encounter was camping in Yellowstone. I awoke to some snuffling sounds and a huge shadow on the wall of my tent. One tiny peek was enough to decide that going out was not a good idea. Having a creature the size of a VW Bug on the other side of that thin bit of nylon was intimidating to say the least. ---

[Story](https://patch.com/new-jersey/bloomfield/2-men-seeking-work-near-nj-home-depot-robbed-gunpoint-police) Stupid MFer drives up to the guys at Home Depot, the ones who stand around waiting for a random person to ask them to work, and they get in his car. He then robs them at gunpoint. Because dayworkers are known for carrying large amounts of cash with them. After being told “We are standing on the sidewalk waiting for work, we have no cash.” he lets them out of the car. They call the cops, stupid MFer is found, he crashes his Mercedes and is arrested. Fin. ---

I pulled up in the driveway, and immediately smelled smoke. I spoke with the woman next door who was on her front porch, and she agreed she smelled smoke. Suddenly, the house next to hers was engulfed in flames, and a man ran out of the house screaming and burned very badly. 911 was called, and fire engines and EMTs showed up quickly. We were in Texas also (like the linked story) and in the middle of a very dry summer with a moderate wind that day. People were on their roofs dousing them with water from garden hoses trying to keep them from catching fire. Nevertheless, several houses started burning from the flying embers of the original house, It turned out that the man’s wife had left him, and he was trying to kill himself. He had hooked up a hose from the gas fireplace to his bedroom the night before, but the gas didn’t kill him in his sleep as he’d expected. Apparently he woke up and lit a cigarette, and BOOM! And after all that… my boss wanted me to come inside and start work! Hell no, dude. I took the rest of the day off, Oh - they interviewed me on the news, too. That was kinda cool watching myself on the news that night. The guy lived, but I don’t remember many more details of how it turned out for him. I still remember how he looked all burned up, though. 😨 ---

I can’t find it now but there’s also a “How to Greet Wildlife” poster, which shows a figure waving at different animals. At the bottom is the figure running from bison. ---
