Calling the rape of a 12-year-old a “misstep” is disgusting. I’m for criminals doing their tube an rejoicing society, but that language is terrible. ---

Gosh, I love tarantulas, but I’m surprised at this. Considering they were just fine with the lady who killed a puppy. Loosely related, there’s a running meme in my household, “please love your spiders,” because of a Spanish language love song by Shakira that contains a line that my husband misheard as “please love your spiders.” (_Y mis labios para cuando quieras besar._) And I do love my spiders. I don’t have any as pets but I enjoy seeing them around the house from time to time. Glad Republicans did the right thing for a change. 🤬 ---

I woke up one morning hearing my mother declare “_There’s a spider in the tub! So be sure to chase it out before you take a shower, so it doesn’t drown._” I also remember the spider that lived on the sliding glass door by the kitchen: watching it build its web one morning was fascinating. ---
