FWIW, I don’t so much conciser my latest results to be “hall monitoring” but a puzzle to be solved. Similar to when someone asks about some fact they can’t track down about something I’ve never heard before, I take it as a challenge to go down rabbit holes and google it up myself. I’m not a gamer–tackling obscure information is my World of Grand Minecraft. ---

That means you were teasing or making fun of him for what he said. You still keep saying he was stalking people. Unless you think stalking is a perfectly okay thing to do, then you are still saying he did something bad. You have communicated that you think what he did was bad. That means you want him to stop it. I could actually believe you were joking from the original comment, if not for all your subsequent comments doubling down on saying the same thing. You do not react like someone who made a joke and was accidentally misunderstood. Not a single apology. Just doubling down. And is there a more meaningless imperative verb than “chill”? It just means “I’m gonna pretend you are too upset so I can dismiss what you have to say.” ---
