Our relatively new friend **CastletonSnob** , he of great interest in all things South (to the point of being prohibited from starting any more threads on the subject), wants to know [what the 80s were like](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=843911). He claims to have been born yesterday, or at least, very recently, but a closer look at his various screeds suggests a greater probability of being a recent arrival from a distant planet. I, for one, welcome our interplanetary visitor and in the spirit of galactic friendship I offer answers not just to his query about the 80s, but to many other questions of interest about our planet that he has posed in threads he’s started, all conveniently itemized below: What were the 80s like? _They were swell._ When should I get a new computer? _Right now! And hurry!_ Should the south secede? _Yes._ If you could get rid of any state, would you get rid of the south? _Yes._ Why don’t people like the south? _Don’t take this the wrong way, but is that where you live?_ Why they live there anyway? _Most don’t._ Where should I move if I don’t like the south? _North._ I’m having trouble sleeping. I keep staring at the alarm clock, and notice that I’m not asleep. Could this be why I’m having trouble sleeping? _Yes._ Why do people smoke after sex? Does it feel good, or what? _It’s normal for us earthlings to smolder for a while after sex, until extinguished with a fire hose._ Who could beat Goku? _I bet you could. You just have to really, really want to._ What are my odds of making the Olympics? _Frankly, I recommend you focus on beating Goku first, and see where that goes._ I’m taking meds and my pharmacy is out. They’ve ordered more and they’re supposed to arrive on Thursday. What do I do if they don’t arrive? _Take it as a definite sign that you should move north._ ---

As the non-trollish **AHunter3** demonstrates (among others), not too many psych patients come away from their experience with much respect for the current state of the art. I’m not engaging with a troll. They have the same posting style and inability to form paragraphs. I submit that they’re the same person.
