Well, at least the first few posts waved the “No debate here” flag, and Bone shut it down. Seriously, I’ve read other threads started by **BloodyStalk** (which, btw, can be treated with an aggressive course of antibiotics). And every time I’m shaking my head and muttering “There’s no way ‘your friend’ said all this”. He’ll even insert hashtags in his friend’s diatribe. So, anyhoo, supporters of shooting up little Billy-Bob’s school emphasize any number of the following arguments: (i) Second Amendment fanaticism; (ii) advocating for a responsible form of school shooting (for instance, just targeting students caught defacing the Principal’s portrait); (iii) the centrality of pseudo-self-defense, termed here the ‘classic Mister Miagi stance’; and (iv) the pervasiveness of celebrities who like to shoot up schools (see my drunken rant from last Saturday night re: Stephen Fry). In greater detail, they hold that the Koch agenda already guarantees unfettered school shooting rights (i); that school shootings are overwhelmingly safe in terms of the practices of a majority of assault weapon owners (ii); that school shootings are embedded in the fundamental right of self-defense (remember ‘classic Mister Miagi’) (iii); and that experts and celebrities at all levels of contemporary society support the freedom to shoot up schools and make that freedom part of their public lives (see my drunken rant from last Tuesday night re: Tom Hanks) (iv). We can view these arguments as elements in a more or less coherent position (actually, in practice it’s much less). We can imagine them being put forth in a lecture auditorium (ooh, or in my upcoming TED Talk!), where each argument is meant by advocates to convince a large audience; each will play a part in using rational force and moral persuasion and copious amounts of alcohol to convince informed members of the audience to endorse a specific side of the issue. The arguments are best seen as elements of a platform because none of them can be assumed to achieve universal validity by itself. Each has a role to play in a larger debate or discourse about whether we should shoot up schools or just give up and maybe go home or at least have another Everclear & Coke. Four days ago, tried to take a bus to the airport; three days later is getting released from a mental hospital. He has the image of the bus route (presumably with the route number) on his phone, yet instead of asking the driver if this bus is the one for tne route he wants, he asks her where the bus stops. He has transfers in his hand, and when directed to give the driver tickets or get off the bus, instead of giving her the transfers, he gets off the bus. Aren’t transfers accepted as tickets on this bus line? Every public transit system I’ve ridden on (that uses transfers) treats them as a valid form of busfare, provided they’re not expired. Too much missing information. Not a troll, though. ---

It’s all very trollish in material and style, but if so that was a slow troll with 3 years of infrequent but steady posting. A guy coming down off speed with no sleep and possible psychological problems could come across exactly like a troll and a troll could come across exactly like that guy. ---

Yeah, I don’t buy the girlfriend saying “That’s okay, honey.
