My take on CK is that he (assuming) is happier critiquing ones answers to a topic than he is in discussing the topic. Many, if not most, of his initial comments on a topic are negative responses to others responses, not a direct response to the OP. Lol, one time I responded to him saying “I agree with you because of (reason 2)”, prompting him to respond, in essence, “your reason for agreeing with me is wrong” (not a direct quote). ---
