One would think that people promoting ideas which are considered “far” from societal norms… Left or Right… would appreciate free speech protections so they can continue to press upon those norms, but what the fuck do I know? ---

I will say, I had no idea how dumb HD was until he argued that you can negotiate binding agreements with non-appointed and unauthorized entities, and that the appointments clause in the US Constitution really doesn’t say the President has to appoint someone for you to negotiate with the Executive Branch. I want a lower cell phone bill. Anyone here want to negotiate with me, so I can take it to Sprint and start paying less? ---

Unlike parents who didn’t realize that ChemE is a kind of engineering, [Littleman](https://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?p=21442955#post21442955) definitely doesn’t worry about being seen as a sexist pig. With apologies to pigs. He also conflates one of Spain’s public universities with the Ministry of Education and keeps twisting the same numbers (which are not the ones I was talking about damnit) ten different ways. ---

I’ve said several times that I was talking about recent specific majors’ specific incoming-student rates. Very recent, in fact. This year’s. He keeps saying that my info is wrong because his info from years prior, which is aggregated, which only includes some schools, which sometimes is about enrollment and sometimes about employment and sometimes from UNED and sometimes from the ministry of education (lack of caps his) is different. But yeah, he’s totally in good faith. And btw now that I have you here: KISS MARIE CURIE’S AND MY GRANDMOTHER’S ASSES, YOU ASSHOLE. Oh, and that of Great-Aunt Rosa. And the women who worked for NASA and its predecessors, and who got lesser jobs than the men despite being more qualified. And so, so, so many others. Oh, and Lady Lovelace’s, too. My grandmother and her classmates were told multiple times that all those numbers would dry their uteruses; that’s probably why Abuelita only had five kids (her sixth pregnancy ended up in a spontaneous abortion; after discovering she’d had five previous succesful ones, the of-course-male gynecologist proposed following Mother Nature’s proposal and Abuelita agreed). Nowadays her major of Business Administration is majorly female in enrollment and graduation, not so much in employment, but yeah, of course, any woman who likes numbers has a hormonal problem. ---
