You really don’t get this “insult” thing, do you? To sting, an insult has to have something to do with reality. You can’t insult LeBron James for being short, or Bill Gates for being poor, or John Hamm for being ugly. Just saying random shit doesn’t have any impact. ---

Fair enough. So what are the alternatives? Petition the board to no longer allow NP’s? Nah, Im sure they like the traffic. Perhaps request a separate board of LTP’s only (like minded ones of course- conservatives, Trumpians and the like not allowed). No, LTP’s would get bored with every thread being 'Do you like apples", and thirty people responding affirmatively, that would be a good circle jerk, but would get old- LTP’s need NP’s to insult and call trolls for fun now and then, and to show off their wit and what not. maybe a test board, separate from the main board, for NP’s with 1000 or fewer posts? Once you reach 1000, a council of LTP “elders”, if you will, convenes, reviews the posting history, determines if a troll or otherwise unworthy of main board status, and then either allows admission to main board, or advises them how they “failed” and sends them back to the test board until their posts are deemed worthy of the main board? Or maybe something similar to the mafia where you have rank based on your number of posts and party affiliation,- someone with x number of posts cant post in a thread started by an LTP, or can post but cant engage or insult the LTP, that type thing? Or, even better, realize that the world is changing, not everyone here is over 60, not everyone who disagrees with an opinion is insincere, and if you cant understand that, start your own board, and stop the schoolyard bullying, which hint, doesnt work on adults? Once again, Dork, you totally miss the point. Which is understandable, since you’re a fucking idiot, but none of your bloviations are relevant. You somehow think this has something to do with “seniority” or something. No, it does not. It has to do with the fact that to some degree many established posters here know each other, if only in terms of how they think, what their views are on particular issues, their political ideologies, and so on. So when a pompous moron like yourself arrives and starts pushing everyone around and smugly telling them that they’re wrong about everything, it reflects more on said pompous moron than on those being criticized. That pompous moron would be you, in case you’re not following. “So what are the alternatives?” How about a period of quiet observation before you start shoving your oar in and insulting everyone you come across?
