**Jeff** appeared back in November 2016 as a dollop of polluted foam on the wave of newly-emboldened cretins that swept in after you-know-who was elected you-know-what. It must have been oppressive, living a closeted life for decades in a society that for the most part discouraged ignorance (or at least took no pleasure in celebrating it), in which even the most rabid partisans agreed that right, left or center, our chosen leaders should possess a modicum of competence, sagacity, education, or failing all else, a willingness to _learn_ from those around them— so it’s understandable that they’re “out and proud” now that all those assumptions are demolished. ---

Mia was a Black, GOP congresswoman from Utah. She won two terms, but lost against a Democrat in 2018. She was more critical of Trump than most Republicans. No idea about Jason - spouse. 😛 ---

That sort of razzle-dazzle sophistry must really play well in a courtroom. “What does it even mean, tax _evasion_? Is it a crime simply to evade something? Let’s say that instead of failing to file a federal return for the past twenty years, my client had swerved to miss a young child who ran out into the street. Would he be guilty of ‘toddler evasion’?” ---
