And that’s mostly lurking… I’d have to quit my job and my marriage (and give up sleeping, too) to have time for a sock. So PSA for anyone with a sock: give it up. And a PSA for the teeming sockless millions: Try what I did once… don’t log onto Da Dope for a month. You can still read threads, but if you’re not replying, you’ll discover you have all this extra time. Now, if you cut back on TV, too, you’ll be learning Italian and electric guitar and starting a band and reading big heavy books in coffee shops and painting portraits and your garage and some graffiti, and still have time to go out with the cool kids to funky restaurants. ---
