It’s quite possible that the poster is not Muslim but is trying to provoke anti-Muslim reactions. Did you read the post, or did you base your remark entirely on the quote I supplied, which was given only to provide an idea of the post’s subject, not to demonstrate the craziness of the post (I admit that I didn’t do a good job). Note that the post has been locked by a mod. I would welcome literate and sane Muslim Dopers, just like I welcome other literate and sane viewpoints. ---

I am so happy to be not an observant muslim, here, this year. Night will be just a tad over 8 hours by the end of Ramadan. A Muslim in Yellowknife or Nome would like to about starve to death by the end of it. ---
