On education, poverty, and beating your children

There’s another contributing factor, which is that poor impulse control can lead to both child abuse and poverty.

It’s a complicated web of suck.

That is my impression as well. Dysfunction creates poverty and low ses, low ses and poverty creates dysfunction (money stress, time stress, etc).
