If an election can be bought ,it is Michigan. Devos has been running so long I can’t remember a half hour without one of his commercials. Why does a billionaire want to be Gov. anyway?Should say Amway.

Looks like Missouri is the final and most up-in-the-air of the up-for-grabs Senate seats.

C’mon, McCaskill! Go Stem Cell Researchers!

This morning’s [MSNBC/McClatchy poll](http://msnbc.msn.com/id/15547023/) surprisingly has Lincoln Chafee with a slim lead in Rhode Island. If he pulls it off, the Dems would need MT, VA, MO, _and_ TN to take control of the Senate.

I don’t much care for Jim Pederson’s campaign, but it would be huge if he won. Jon Kyl is **very** conservative and Pederson seems to be pretty liberal. If the Dems had a better candidate, Kyl would be scared shitless right now. Even as it stands the attack ads have been pretty nasty on both sides.

The [trend lines](http://www.electoral-vote.com:2006/evp2006/Sen_graphs/rhode-island_regres.html) are too far apart for me to be too worried about Rhode Island based on a single poll.

I dont know. It could be close – [Rothenberg](http://rothenbergpoliticalreport.blogspot.com/2006/11/2006-senate-ratings_06.html), [Election Projection](http://electionprojection.com/elections2006.html), and the [Cook Political Report](http://www.cookpolitical.com/races/report_pdfs/2006_sen_ratings_nov6.pdf) all have them lumped in with the other tight races of VA, TN, and MO.
