What you’re referring to is merely the classification that was assigned to male US citizens and male Resident Aliens upon reporting to their Draft Boards. It wasn’t an automatic call-up upon reaching the age of 18 years.

I might as well mention this now, since this is a thread about the conscription in the US: today, all male US citizens and, IIRC, also all male Resident Aliens must register for conscription. Failure to register does have some not so nice consequences (ineligibility for student loans, etc.).
No, a pit-worthy observation would be that that joke was old five years ago. Profanity for its own sake only works if your audience is 14.
