And it’s pretty interesting in both Gargoyles and Stargate–granted, those last two really don’t deal with the [afterlife] as much as the myths surrounding it. I agree with you in that it meant “fuck you” (it will be hilarious if you thought something else and here I am agreeing in how obvious it is that it means something else), but would you really issue a warning or any other flavor of mod action over an insult that is not? Didn’t we have something similar about the “snugglypuppy” bull a while ago (I have no recollection of what it stands for, by the way). How was that handled then? Where people who used it assumed to be meaning the “secret meaning” and modded accordingly? I mean, I honestly couldn’t care less about any of the issues at play here. I don’t believe there is a set rule (beyond the “don’t be a jerk” rule), and any moderation would be contextually based. In this case, it was clearly intended as a dig against a moderator and clearly intended as a violation of the _intent_ of the rule by gaming the “letter of the law”. That is jerkish behavior. If I were moderator, I would have done like **Marley23** did - gave notice of awareness of the intent to circumvent the rules by weaseling and a clear statement it is not appreciated. Then continued violation would earn a warning. ---
