The Bears have a weird habit of drafting players when the coverage is at commercial or the announcers are focused on something else. Every year we get next to no analysis, it’s weird. Here’s to hoping we come back to good news! ---

Ugh. Talk about a mixed blessing. We got the OT we needed but we took probably the 2nd best guy available. Part of me hopes that the Bears saw something in scouting that leads them to think he can be a stud, but I don’t know why they wouldn’t have taken the versatile guy in Albert since they need a OT and a OG. ---

The Lions had a crap running game last year and ditched their leading runner in the offseason, right? So naturally I expect they’ll take Limas Sweed… Meanwhile Branden Albert has become the offical “slider” of the draft, although he’s far from Brady Quinn or Aaron Rodgers territory at this point. ---

I’m not sure I would love Branden Albert for the Eagles. Has a Guard ever switched to LT and been a dominant player? I don’t think a combo OL would be a good choice… ---
