Great result for the US. They really had to hold on for the 2nd half but they did it. Well done the US of A. Contrary to expectations of many Irish people to whom I have spoken, most Brits are rooting for the Irish too. In fact, as I was listening to BBC Radio 1 illegally on Freedom FM pirate station this morning, Sara Cox said ā€œGood luck to the Irish from everyone here at Radio 1, and especially to anyone in Dublin whoā€™s listening to us illegally on Freedom FM.ā€ šŸ˜ƒ Though of course Iā€™d never expect reciprocation on Friday. :rolleyes: ---

Cor Blimey. I was watching it on the telly. Portugal werenā€™t bothering to defend at all. Iā€™m really looking forward to USA v Korea now. And there I was thinking that the USA would tumble to the bottom of group D. Now for Ireland/Germany. Iā€™ve got my winTV window in the top ocrner of my monitor, so I can watch and surf. Iā€™ll probably end up in front of the big telly in the lounge before long, though. Iā€™m at home, you see. Iā€™ve got some work to do (freelence stylee), but itā€™s going to wait until after the match. ---
