Wednesday. I always hated the “Full of woe” thing. Then I found, in an old book, a version where Wednesday was NOT the downer day and I clung to that version! I’ll see if I can find it next time I go downstairs.
My eldest child was born on a Wednesday by cæsarean, but it hadn’t been planned that way, it was a coincidence. My second was born on a Tuesday and my third on a Wednesday, and they were both scheduled cæsarian. So has Wednesday been designated Elective Delivery Day by the obstetric profession or something?
I thought I’d see how others in my own family fared on being born:
Mother, father and younger bother: all on Monday
Mother of my three children: Wednesday
Oldest two children (cesarean): Thursday
Youngest child (cesarean): Tuesday
Current (second) wife: Wednesday
Sunday. Didn’t need to look it up or anything–I was born on Easter Sunday, which inspired my middle name (viz. my normal nom-de-internet).
