I’m sure Wesley Crusher (TNG) will spark quite a lot of discussion. He always does. B4, Data’s early sibling (Nemesis). A stupid idea. That’s all we need; a retarded version of a Pinnochio/Tinman running around, trying to be a little boy. At least we only saw mere minutes of him. Lazarus (TOS). Did he read the script? Did he even HAVE a script? One of the most disjointed eps ever. Sure, it was the fault of the writing and directing, but it’s seen by our eyes in the person of one of the most ill conceived characters ever. I’ll be back with more. Note what part of the franchise the character is in (TOS, TNG, Movie name, etc…) and a reason why they’re included, long or short. Argue other’s choices, too, if you feel you must. Have fun! ---

I really didn’t like that alien who dressed up like Napolean on an episode of ST:TOS, for some reason he really creeped me out. Oh, and Wesley Crutcher, that freakin’ wiener boy. Introduce me to your mother then make yourself scarce, little punk. ---

Yeah, I really disliked Trelaine. Wesley’s redeemed somewhat by his appearance in the episode where they try to cover up how a student at the academy died and also by how Wil Wheaton turned out IRL. –Cliffy ---

Neelix: “Hi there Mr. Vulcan! 🙂 I married a 3 yr old! 🙂 You like beans!? :)” Yes. Neelix must die. Come to think of it, I didn’t like the EMH either. What a snot. B’allana was a brat and a bitch. Kes was pretty much a non character for so long, that her coming back character’s bitch-i-tude was actually a welcome change. Tom Paris was one dimensional, and Kim was a loser. Janeway’s voice grated on me. I liked Tuvok. And 7 of 9 had big tits, so she’s okay. _Voyager_ had a lot for me to pick at in general, so tearing apart its characters is really a very small rant to me. ---

**Wesley** (TNG): The first \*\*Star Trek \*\* character whose appearance I learned to actively dread. While TOS never exactly featured a balanced ensemble cast, at least the occasional episodes prominently featuring the secondary characters didn’t automatically herald imminent suckitude. It was never like, _“Oh no, it looks like Scotty is going to have a major role in this episode!”_ I believe that Wesley was actually the result of a Federation experiment to harness the annoyance power of Michael J. Pollard that somehow went terribly awry. **7 of 9** (VOY): Nothing against Jeri Ryan personally, you understand; it’s just the overall character concept, which pretty much killed off my remaining interest in **Voyager**. \*"Remember that premise of Voyager being the only Federation ship in the quadrant, with a hybrid crew of Starfleet officers and Federation renegades thrown together by fate, then forced to cooperate in order to survive in unknown territory populated by completely new species and civilizations? We hope you’ve forgotten about all that by now.” \* I also found it mildly difficult to accept that a Starfleet crew, upon rescuing a limber amnesiac blonde woman from the clutches of the Borg, would hit upon the exact same course of rehabilitation as I would have: dress her in a skintight catsuit with individual breast holsters and have her parade around the ship wearing stiletto heels. **Neelix** (VOY): \* “Wouldn’t it be funny if the crew of our new **Star Trek** franchise included a character like ‘Balki’ from **Perfect Strangers**?”\* \*\*The Ferengi \*\* (TNG, DS9, etc): _“Wouldn’t it be funny if Wallace Shawn were an entire species?”_ \*\*Guinan \*\* (TNG): _“Wouldn’t it be funny if, no matter where you traveled in space and time, you could never escape Whoopi Goldberg?”_ ---

All the characters named so far were pretty awful… …but “The Traveller” really, really grinds my gears. Yeah, I know, he only showed up like twice, and once was to take Wesley away and you can’t complain about that. But he was everything that was bad about Gene Roddenberry. “Just think hard and spew new age shit and you can change the laws of physics, Wesley!” Fuck that. ---
