# Once Upon a Time (TV series). Lol WTF?

Being stuck at home, I decided to binge OUAT. For the most part, it was an okay show.
Personally, I found the villains to be WAY more interesting than the heroes. Also loved to hate watch Charming and Snow. The two most annoying characters on TV.
But anyway, not a great show, but likable.
Then season 7 happened. Holly crap what a shit show.
They completely detroyed Regina’s character who now plays the part of a bar keep, with a tacky sense of fashion that faded with the 90’s.
Anyway, I watched three episodes for comedic effect, then turned it off.
I’d be really currious to know what the hell they were think. I mean, season 6 finale was very well done. And that’s hard for writers to do with a finale.

I quit after season 1, but didn’t they lost almost ALL the main cast the final year?

Yes. The only characters left were Regina, Hook, and Rumple.
And Rumple plays the part of a hard nosed detective. Lol

I think I bailed in season 2 or 3. I’m kind of shocked it went to 7. To be fair though I bail on a lot of shows in season 2 or 3 (usually 2). I even bailed on Breaking Bad.
A lot of times, I think, shows have a great season 1 premise and execute that vision fairly well. But then faced with season 2, they get stuck. I think UOAT is like that. I recall very much liking the first season, then in later seasons stuff happened just because there was a show and stuff had to keep happening.

Yeah, it was an uneven show, buy I generally enjoyed it through season 6. 7 is best forgotten.

I _loved_ the premise, but thought it never quite managed to live up to it. Still, for the most part, I found it fun and enjoyable. I thought the “Neverland” episodes were a grind. Season 7 was a total shark jump. Once I got used to it, I thought it was…ok. But I pretty much had to think of it as a reboot rather than a continuation, and that even the three continuing characters were new characters, not really continuations of their characters from the first 6 seasons.

I too loved it in the beginning - it was a neat premise. But as usual, like so many other shows, it went downhill after a few seasons. I think I lasted until season 5. I don’t even remember.
