# One day in Reykjavík - what to see?

Yeah, Iceland is extremely expensive. We mitigated that a lot during our weeklong trip by staying in an AirBnB instead of a hotel and cooking most of our meals. And we did a lot of activities like visiting Reynisfjara (free), hiking up the mountain to sit in a natural hot spring river (free), and using the local pools/saunas (inexpensive).
