The Kidlet tends to get pretty psycho around this time of year; I think it’s a mixture of SAD and overstimulation. I know you’re homeschooling, so “already settled in the new schoolyear” and “classmates talking about what they’re asking the Magi for” aren’t factors, but “playmates’ Santa lists”, “TV ads” and “where did the sun go” might be. ---

Again. :rolleyes: We had one – count [del]'em[/del] it, **one!** weekend with downpours of, well, biblical proportions, and now it’s back to sunny day after sunny day with temps in the 20’s. No, not Fahrenheit. Dunno if I’ve mentioned it, but we’re supposed to be going on vacation for a few days, from Thursday until next Tuesday. Travel plans include flying. Today’s fun and games have included clearing snow again so I can get the car out, and later I will be taking Ophie to the vet for her vaccinations. Then there’s baking for Fat Club’s taster night tonight and at some point I need to get some petrol which I can do on the way to class. Oh, the excitement… ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. _YAWN_ Ready for everything to be over and the world to return to normal, AKA over Christmas already! I just don’t care this year. On the home front, OYKW will be headed to see family tomorrow. Ima go up to ye olde hometowne on Firday and head back Sunday. OYKW will also head back to the swamps on Sunday. Then it’s back to irk on Monday for both of us. My annual feed a bunch of folks black-eyed peas and greens New Year’s Day feast plans are made and folks invitated. So, if’n they don’t have money and luck for the new year it ain’t my fault! 😃 I get to go funeralize today. The son/brother of some of my churchfolks died Saturday morning from liver cancer. It had been expected and he had been in hospice. Y’all may remember me tellin’ about the unexpected death of my friend Ron last month. This is his BIL. That’s two deaths for this family in a month. They deserve a bunch of good stuff to happen now. Tomorrow we’re havin’ an Agape Supper at the church house. If y’all want to know more google it cause I ain’t up for googlin’ right now. I’m bringin’ some grapes and some dried dates, figs and apricots cause, well, I’m lazy and those are easy enough to go buy. It should be kinda fun. Ok, now it’s time to feed rumbly tummy, caffienate some more and purtify for irk. Happy Tuesday Y’all! ---

Morning all, afternoon to some of yas (LOL). Up and caffeinated and at work already. Prayers to Ron’s family, **Swampy** ; one of my closest work friends lost her FIL, unexpectedly, of a heart attack over the weekend (he was putting up christmas lights on the house!). Always harder when it happens over the holidays, unfortunately. HUGS to everyone who needs them. My son is home, safe and sound! Tired of traveling on the bus, but it pretty much was on schedule, even through all the snow and cold in the mid-west (he was coming from NM). I had laid in a store of burgers, cheese, and buns and even had a big bag of waffle-cut fries for him and he’s already had several. It is surely good to see him and it had been since August. I gotta go get something to eat myself. _laughs_ I’ve had a bowl of oatmeal before I left home, but now need something a little more. Have a great Tuesday all, and safe journeys to any who are traveling. 🙂 ---

What, and miss all the Boxing Day sales on Oxford Street…? 😛 (yeah, I’m channeling wife and daughter here… :rolleyes:\*\*) Luckily, flights to and from Israel appear to fall under “inter-continental” (well, they really are!) so they get priority – today’s morning flight from T-A is going to be, apparently, only one hour late; which in the grand scheme of things is small potatoes. Yesterday’s flights to and from LHR all took off and landed (the morning flights, albeit, were delayed by about 6 hours.) So I’m cautiously optimistic. And the kids are very much looking forwards to seeing some “real” snow. I know it’s a drag for you living there, but for us it’s a change, and a form of adventure. ---

I’m here! I survived yesterday. I sat on my butt until 10:00, then I went to the post office, and then worked out. Then I stopped at 6 or 7 different stores, to get doggie Xmas stockings and stocking stuffers and decorations. I made a yummy shrimp stir-fry for dinner. Today I’m going to decorate the tree, and set out the other holiday decorations. Then I’ll go work out again. I’ve lost three pounds since I started! Amazingly enough, what they say is true. I really feel good when I’m done. 🙂 Dinner shall be boneless pork chops in a mushroom cream sauce, with rice and a green veggie. I’ve eaten healthy since Thursday, it’s time for something a little more fattening. 😛 Speaking of food… breakfast time! Hugs and smooches and butt pinches all around! ---

Awake, showered, waiting for my tea to cool. I’m waiting for Best Buy to deliver the fridge, washer and dryer. It’s been a rough two weeks without them, but it was very nice of my parents to buy them for me as a house warming gift! 🙂 I chose a front loader high efficiency washer and can’t wait to do as **gotti** mentioned after he and his DH got theirs and throw a load of clean clothes in and watch to see the dirt and old soap come out. Other than that, the skies were too overcast to see the eclipse, and a guy I have been seeing bruised my heart…again, so I think I am just going to chalk it up to nice attention for a while, but not anything to build a relationship on. So, some family drama with regard to Christmas but nothing worth relating. At least with the fridge I can _finally_ go grocery shopping in earnest and begin the holiday baking. The Best Buy guys are here! ---

Damn, **Bus Guy**! I’m sorry. It’s broken, huh? That sucks. Yay for new appliances! I got out all the decorations and lights. Then I got distracted, and touch-up painted some drawer faces, before I put away the new set of silverware that Mr Rebo bought. He has been complaining for two years that our silverware sucks. Old and mismatched has been replaced! The workout will wait until tomorrow. I have to get my well woman checkup, so I’ll go after that. I feel a little guilty, but I just don’t have enough time today. ---
