To clarify, Murray Head sang the part of Judas in the original album of JC SUPERSTAR.
Didn’t he also have a novelty song “Boobs-a-lot”?
I’m still reeling from finding out who his brother is & I heard that two years ago.

Correct on both counts. Negative points for me for not checking my work.
“Boobs a Lot” was by the Holy Modal Rounders, and I believe also recorded by their comrades in filth, the Fugs. I used to hear the Rounders’ version a lot on Dr. Demento’s show in the '70s.
I have the album at home, and this may be one of the best one-album-wonder bands of all time (to my mind, of course). Form the first son to the last, it’s catchy, very “pop”, and just really good.
I like Son of A Gun, which got some limited airplay here on college radio.
However, “What I Like About You” never cracked the Top 40. Cite.
In fact, “What I Like About You” is a good example of what the OP is talking about. Much better song than “Talking In Your Sleep.”
Exactly - Talkin in Your Sleep was a cheesy ripoff of the riff in Rick James’ SuperFreak.
A lot of people made good money ripping off that song.
To be honest, I knew so little about the band that I didn’t even know that “State Of The World” was “Citysong” until I blundered into the fact during a Google search.
What about “Naked Eye”? I would think that that would be the band’s biggest hit. I think it has even shown up in commercials.
The two singles off of the Killers CD Hot Fuss (“Somebody Told Me” and “Mr. Brightside”) were mis-picked. The two strongest songs off that album are “Jenny Was a Friend of Mine” and “Believe Me Natalie.” They should have been the singles. (And no, I don’t think the Killers count as a one-hit wonder band yet, but I think they’ll go down as one for “Somebody Told Me.”)
“Tubthumping” is one of the weakest songs on the Chumbawamba CD Tubthumper. Better singles would have been “Amnesia” or “Scapegoat.” And actually, that whole album is weak compared to most of the earlier (and some of the later) stuff.
