Disappointing he didn’t die after a few years in prison having been found guilty, but that he didn’t die free and in happy retirement is still quite good. ---

Sadly, I don’t think that being found guilty would have changed the minds of many of his followers. It would have been nice if he could have suffered some of the pains his victims went through before he died, though. ---

The mass graves, the forced deportations, the attacks on non-combatants, the torture in the prisons, and the systemic rape of Muslim women were a conspiracy of the UN? The systemic nature and patterns of the atrocities, the writings of Kardzic and Milosevic before the war, the nationalist platform he rode into power, the resources made available to accomplish these atrocities, and the timing of the atrocities were pure coincidence and the result of a few thousand bad eggs? There are literally hundreds of thousands of pages of documentation about the atrocities that occured in both Bosnia and Kosovo. Of course, there will always be apologists, even for the leader of military and political branches that carried out these atrocities, but I’ve found spending time trying to convince them is fruitless. ---
