You are not responding to the dictionary definition I posted in post #9, or other posts that addressed this. You are utterly, completely, and totally wrong, and appear to be resistant to learning anything about correct usage in English.

This is why definite articles are important in the English language: your op argued against “one of the only”. Now you are arguing against “one of only”. Unless you believe a sentence like “Michigan, one of only 20 states without the death penalty, borders Canada” is incorrect, I imagine you didn’t mean the second argument.
