My wish would be modest (so it hopefully wouldn’t backfire) but is very heartfelt: I want my IBS-C and the horrible crippling pain to go away immediately and never return. This is posted while being curled up in a small ball on the bed trying to keep from crying again today from the pain. ☹ ---

Tried to think of some altruistic ‘save the world’ wish, but doggone it, even with the best intentions and the ‘non-backfiring’ assist, each scenario I thought of comes with huge inescapable downsides. So I want to be able to Time Travel. ---

Assuming that the genie is offering a personal wish rather than a universal one (eg world peace or end to world hunger, which screws up human free will), I’d wish to always be in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing, and recognize it. If the genie thinks that that is four wishes, instead of one, I’d that I always knew what was the right thing to do in all circumstances. I guess that figuring out how to do it, or willing to do it, would be up to me. ---
