Let’s say I wanted to start my own website. Are there any general figures available for how much advertisers are willing to pay for varying amounts of page views?

I’m sure the numbers can vary wildly depending on the website’s focus and the advertising type, but are there any general numbers, or articles, that discuss this anywhere?

They don’t pay for page views. They pay for impressions, or sometimes clicks.

You could get a rough sense by trying to buy Google Adwords.
