Has anyone here ever received an online degree? Do you know anyone that has? Any comments, complaints, or suggestions?

Funny you should ask. I’m working on my Master’s degree, and I just completed a research paper on this very thing. Here are the main points for your reading pleasure…
[ul]
[li]Online degrees can help you advance with a company where you are already employed.[/li][li]If you’re not already employed, and your resume clearly indicates the degree is from an online resource, it’s not taken as seriously.[/li][li]Employers (hiring managers) believe that online degrees are equivilant to traditional degrees, but are not necessarily willing to risk hiring a candidate as the perception of online degrees is that they’re not as good.[/li][/ul]

Thanks **Enright3** , that’s pretty much what I thought. One other “plus” might be if you’re an old timer like me and you get an online degree.
