I just recently discovered [Jennifer Government’s Nation States](http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi) It’s a neat little 5 minute a day time killer where you create a nation and, depending on how you answer political questions, it is either successful or not. In any event, I was wondering if anyone else knew of any online free games like this one (as opposed to something like poker, chess, etc). I know dopewars is a free game, but it’s not really ‘online’. If anyone is interested, my nation is named “Meatros” (yeah, I’m not really creative…). ---

**Meatros** , perhaps you’ve already been there but [this link](http://www.playfreeonlinegames.co.uk/) should provide you with endless online games in every genre. I have tried Runescape, which is one of their adventure games. It runs within your browser in Java. For a free game it’s kinda fun in a mindless, point and click sort of way. BTW, I _didn’t_ know about NS, but thanks to you, I now have 5 million extra mouths to feed in the Fiefdom of Fiefendorfen. Thank you… I think 😉 ---

Is your nation located in the Sea of Cecil? My nation has been around since the first time a link to NationStates was posted here- my country, Giedi\_Prime, is nearly at 2 billion in population. There is a discussion board for the Dopers who have nations. If you enter the Sea of Cecil and contact the Republic of Tyber or another of the older nations they will give you the password and URL. They organize the invasions… ---

The Commonwealth of Batiara has just moved to the Sea of Cecil. The biggest time-sucker (aside from these boards) in my bookmarks is [Addicting Games](http://www.addictinggames.com). I forget how I ran across it in the first place, but it’s evil. ---
