# Ono Briston - Bono gets a Knighthood

Story [here](http://www.comcast.net/music/index.jsp?cat=MUSIC&fn=/2006/12/23/547990.html&cvqh=itn_bono). He won’t be able to use the honorary title of Sir since he’s from Ireland, not England. He says that a knighthood would help in getting aid for Africa.

Well good for Bono. He’s an advocate for the forgotten and I can’t think of a more worthy recipient.

He probably wouldn’t want anyone calling him “sir,” anyway.  
People can call him obnoxious and arrogant if they want (and they do), but I’m with **PunditLisa**. At least he gets things done for a lot of people in need.
