# Onsale/Egghead and Credit Card Fraud

I’m getting all my mail forwarded from my real apartment to my corporate apartment, so it takes a while for things to get to me. I had heard that onsale/egghead.com had gotten hacked a few days ago, but paid it no attention since I always choose to enter the information at the time of purchase, rather than save my information to their database.

Today I received a postcard from one of my credit card companies asking me to call them, which I did. I had a charge for $10.95 on my account. The charge was going back to somewhere in Russia and had been declined already by my company.

I still think I’ll shop online, but I’ll be sure to check, double-check and check again any and all statements I get!
