Stop putting out your stupid lawn signs and just shut the fuck up. We know you have no intention of doing anything you’re saying you’re going to do; you know you have no intentions of doing anything you say you’re going to do; do you have to just continue to make promises you won’t keep; ignore important issues and focus on the stupid, meaningless ones; and could you just burn all your fucking lawn signs that clutter the landscape, please? Pretending it’s not about the money (gasp!); and that you truly care about anything affecting the middle class is insincere at best, and ridiculous at most. Just. please. shut. the. fuck. up. Thank you. ---

Maybe it’s just me, but I’ve noticed fewer signs for this election than is usually the case. I haven’t yet seen an NDP sign in my riding and very few Liberal or Conservative signs. I don’t think anyone is enthused about this election. As one columnist put it, “Americans have a date with destiny. Canadians have an appointment with the dentist.” ---

There’s hardly any in my neighborhood. Admittedly, I’m in Calgary and the races here are anything but close - so maybe all but the Liberal are just saving cash. ---

I am right there with you. I am testy and more than a little angry that we have to go through this stupid charade again? We have to choose, yet again, between bonehead A or dickhead B. Neither can be believed, nobody likes either one really. Nobody wants to have to select between two terrible choices, it seems like it’s all we do. Canada never seems to elect anybody they like, admire, esteem, respect. We just keep picking the least idiot guy on the ballot. Where is our Barak O Canada? (Yeah, yeah we have a black woman for Governor General, I don’t mean the colour of his skin, more, y’know, the content of his character.) We deserve so much better government than we get. I am convinced that anyone could get elected on a single promise. Any Joe Shlub could stand up and say, “I will fix this one thing…[pick one from; health care, education, military, legal system, penal system, I could go on all day!] … I know nothing of foreign policy or the working of government but I am convinced I can fix this one thing.” I predict landslide victory. Their campaign anthem could be, “At least I’m not one of those bastards!”
