OK in another thread in MPSIMS I saw where someone had used the 3. Buckeye and was told (not by a moderator) that was inappropriate. So do we skip that now and go straight to the LMHNYCAB? **even sven** , is filaria the African River Blindness? Yeah, I have an unholy fascination with this shit that stems back to the scariest video ever from high school that I was forced to watch in AP Bio. It was called “Parasitic Diseases of the Third World” or something. Schistosomiasis, Bilharzia, Leishmaniasis, Mango Flies, Malaria, African River Blindness, Leprosy…I’m up on all of them. This is probably not the right place to mention that I read so many accounts of leish in Costa Rica that I switched our (as in my and my boyfriend’s) travel plans from CR to Belize. And then it turns out that those leish-infested sand flies are all the fuck over the place. I don’t want to be an ugly American but you can safely assume that once I read that I promptly went out to REI and bought 100% Deet. ---

Having only just finished this thread, today in the break area one of my coworkers left out a plate full of holiday treats. I mentioned Buckeyes as one of my favorites and being in South Carolina I felt the need to explain. However, the moment I mentioned Buckeyes, one of our sales reps pulls one out of his pocket…not the candy…but the nut! On the topic of Opals asinine remarks, I can only say this…if she makes them, and shares them, she will truly deserve to hear the local Ohio residents exclaim loudly…“I love Buckeyes!” ---

There’s no ugliness, just a buckeye reference then someone (very politely) objecting. I believe they are saying that using the “buckeye” elsewhere is harassing Opal, but I did not ask in that particular thread because it did not seem the place for it. ETA: I also suggest using “buckeye” to mean any over the top sensitive reaction. As in: He went all buckeye over my wearing orange and sitting in the Alabama section at the game. Or, I mentioned some nice tits walking by and she buckeyed - what’s her damage? ---
