# Open Letter to the U.S.A. re. Barack Obama

I don’t have much fear that any new President will scrap NAFTA. That’s campaign rhetoric, which won’t be followed through on by the people actually setting policy, in my opinion. Scrap a deal that benefits the US economically, at a time when they’re having massive economic problems? Don’t see it happening.

I want him to enforce NAFTA . That would include environmental and wage provisions which were included in the original proposals. The field must be leveled.

Now, Jodi, be fair. We did elect Bush, sort of. Twice. What are they supposed to think?

BTW, I actually am a Christian-fearing American, and I’m surprised how few of us there seem to be. From here in the trenches, it doesn’t seem like masses.
