Brutus, it would be nice if Hydro would return and respond to those posters who have pointed out some, ah, questionable statements he made in the OP. Of course, _you_ have posted nothing of worth in this thread (or any other, for that matter), so feel free to ignore the legitimate comments regarding Hydro’s post. ---

That virtually every post following the OP is about something other than the fact that Hollywood liberals are going have a ‘Hate Bush’ conference is telling. As for the mindset of liberals in general, of course it this conference is indicative of the liberal mindset, in general. Liberals like to pretend that they are nuanced and unbiased, but their views are painfully easy to enumerate. ‘Hive-mentality’ is fairly accurate when talking about the ‘liberal mindset’. ---

Hmm. Upon rereading the OP, I notice that Hydro characterizes this meeting as a “Hate Fest”. A meeting of a handful of people can in no way be taken to represent the viewpoints of all, or even most liberals. Now, I’ll admit that there are unreasonably biased liberals. There are liberal nutjobs. Yes, there are even liberals who are not nuanced. But I simply cannot fathom why you seem to think that most or even all liberals are dumb motherfuckers with simplistic hive-mind beliefs. It’s a completely indefensible position. ---

Bias on an individual basis isn’t a bad thing, it’s just a sign that you have opinions and beliefs formed from past experience. Whats to love? The man ran as a “centrist” - a “uniter, not a divider”. He actually _loses_ the popular vote and proceeds to rule as though he won by a landslide. The nation is more polarized than its been in years. We are commited to pouring our blood and treasure into a hole in the Godforsaken Desert for years. _Years_! When we raise objections, we are slandered for our lack of “patriotism”, our most idealistic leaders are cravenly insulted as collaborators and cowards. He scoops out buckets of money to shower on the very people who need it least, and corn-holes the poor and helpless. Fuck him. I don’t need to be polite to a lying creep. A man who dresses himself up in military garb years after deserting his (minimal) military obligations. Elmer Fudd looks in the mirror and sees Churchill. And I am somehow obliged to treat him with respect and deference? No. Not just no, HELL NO! He wants my respect, he can start with a blubbering apology. Failing that, I have to obligation to hide my contempt, dismay, and revulsion. ---
