Tonight is opening night! For my [dog](http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l25/bsolly/WetDog003.jpg) [She](http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l25/bsolly/IMG_0419.jpg) is in her first professional play and has been doing great at the previews. [Her](http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l25/bsolly/Oct22049.jpg)big test was yesterday when there was a student matinee. The kids were rowdy and heckling her as she walked on stage, but the little pro that she is, she just gave them a dirty look and went on with her blocking. There are 16 people in the cast and all of them absolutely adore her. She is going to be impossible to deal with after the show closes. [Her](http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l25/bsolly/IMG_0392.jpg) little head is big enough already. But you should see how[cute](http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l25/bsolly/IMG_0959.jpg)she is with her little costume. I don’t get to see her perform (I am backstage) but the wave of “awww” from the audience is proof enough. Her role may be small, but you know what they say about small rolls and small actors. [She](http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l25/bsolly/IMG_0701.jpg) will be getting extra treats today! ok I am done bragging now. But isn’t she so [cute!](http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l25/bsolly/IMG_1042.jpg) ---

Let me get this straight. You have a portrait of your dog gazing pensively across a beautiful chasm, the soft light cascading lovingly across it’s furry face looking a lot like Meryl Streep in “The French Lieutenant’s Woman” ?? Wow. I’m a cat person and I gotta admit- that’s one lovely dog. Er. Actor. Congrats on a great opening night. How does one properly show appreciation? Extra raw meat in the bowl? A nice hot bath? An IMAX screening of " Lassie " ? 😃 Cartooniverse p.s. I’m betting it’s “Annie”. ---

I had the same thought, but Ludy’s doggie is not in the least “Sandy.” (Or do these modrin casting people throw that out the window?) I’m a cat person, too, and, even worse, like Ludy’s type of dog least of all (sorry!)…but she is a really cute dog. Really cute. And it goes without saying that she has to be really smart to be on the stage. ---

It’s not Annie it’s The Mystery of Edwin Drood. Great show if anyone’s in Calgary. ---

[QUOTE=Ludy] That picture was taken at the top of Sulpher Mountain in Banff moments before my fiancé proposed. [/QUOTE] That explains the nervous look in the dog’s eye. 😃 😃 😃 😃 😃 Hey, congrats on your new stage star. There IS money to be made with a beautiful dog who can take direction in front of strangers and lights. Exploit the pup !!! ---

Holy shit - anyone ever tell you that your dog would be great in pictures? 🙂 She’s pretty perfect-looking. If she’s got the “attitude” (obedience) to go with her great looks, she’s a real goldmine of talent, there. Congratulations! If you get any pics of her onstage, I’d really like to see those too! ---

Well she did great! Lets just say she was the most popular one at the after party!
