# Opening up lots of S/D browser windows

It only just occured to me to start opening up several windows at once when going over the boards as it saves on waiting time so I can get through it much faster but…
Occasionally, in the past, I have had the message come up “too many uses connected” and now I wonder if I’m being inconsiderate.
Does doing this take up lots of bandwidth and should I desist.

Short answer - having multiple windows open is not the problem. Clicking on several threads simultaneously, however, would open several connections to the database.

I do this, too, and I worried about it for a while, but then it occurred to me that even if I looked at threads one at a time, I’d still be clicking the same number of links, and since the limiting factor in the speed is mostly human (reading and typing), it’d be about the same amount of time, so I’m still making the same number of clicks/hour. It just gives me a buffer of things to read if the board slows down or something.
