What are the laws like in Spain? Europe seems to have so many different attitudes about drugs, I can’t keep track anymore. Do countries that allow pot have more lenient attitudes toward other drugs? Will this get a slap on the wrist, or will there be hell toupee? ---

The police have notified the find, but not given further information. They haven’t even indicated whether the subject remains in custody, has been released or has been put on a flight back. What happens will depend on the\* juez instructor\* (the judge in charge of the investigation), the man’s situation (was he a tourist, a resident, papers pending, no papers at all)… since the police notice doesn’t indicate that he had a previous record, he did not; that’s also taken into account. Normally for a first offense of a non-violent crime there is no jail time. ---
