I haven’t been involved in any of the controversies on this site about your posting here, so I think I can be objective about the pics. I think you’re a good-looking guy. That dog is adorable of course (but you knew that).
If you’re looking for ways to make yourself more attractive to folks, I think working on how you come across to people would be higher yield than anything to do with your looks or the chair. There is nothing wrong with your looks and I agree with the person who said that you’ve done enough to show that you are independent and fit that people should not have “baggage” about the chair.
Personally, my guess is that you probably would not have done as well as you have after the accident if you were not such a pugnacious, “in your face” kind of guy. It probably made you less likely to give up than others. However it could be getting in the way of getting to know some folks. So if you feel like you’re not getting the results you want, I’d suggest looking at ways to try to soften the edges. But, no, I don’t think there is anything wrong with your looks.

This snippet that you are plucking out of context was said in reference to an obese guy with absolutely no muscle mass who was competing in a wheelchair bodybuilding competition. Again, while I may have been a bit harsh with my words, he had no business making a mockery of what I and others legitimately prepare and work hard for.

Do a google image search for “douchebag expression” and you will see a load of photos of guys who have the same non-expression that you wear in most of the photos.

I haven’t read past the first 20 or so posts of the thread, because I got a bit bored with the same old shit. Based on these pictures, I would pretty much bone you until I died (assuming I weren’t all married and stuff). That being said, I prefer your smiling pics to the unsmiling ones, and I’m not really into bodybuilding pics (I like a bit of muscle but not too much, and for my taste you’ve gone into too much territory). Also, your sister (I assume that’s the chick with the same last name in your pics?) is SMOKIN. A++ genetics, you guys.

Ha, yeah I’ve just always been terrible at “smiling for the camera”. I don’t know what it is; I could take a great picture, smiling, as long as I wasn’t aware of the picture being taken. :rolleyes:

You are good looking, no doubt. I hope you do smile in person, because your pictures make you look unapproachable and roid-ish. NOT that I’m saying you are on roids, but an unfriendly look combined with the bodybuilding makes me wonder if you’d rather kill me than screw me.

I don’t know… I know nothing about you prior to this thread, and I have no opinion of your personality beyond the perception I get from the pictures, and this is not far off from how I felt.
I can appreciate that you feel awkward putting on a forced smile for the camera, but unfortunately when you do that sort of droopy-eyed, non-smile face that you have asked to be judged on, it’s hard not to include it in one’s assessment of your attractiveness. It’s also a little disingenuous to say you don’t feel comfortable hamming it up for a photo, when you’re the one holding the camera. It’s not like you were just hanging out and someone put you on the spot by wanting to take your picture - you were the one who decided to take and post the shot, so you can appreciate how one would assume that is the expression you purposely chose and then liked enough to not only put on facebook but to also ask a group of random strangers to comment on.
Maybe “douchebag” is a bit much, but I can’t think of a better word for that look-how-hot-I-am-ain’t-I-a-stud face that a lot of arrogant and/or unintelligent young men seem to think makes them look tough and sexy. It brings to my mind the [Blue Steel](http://www.google.ca/search?um=1&hl=en&rlz=1W1ADFA_en&biw=1152&bih=606&tbm=isch&sa=1&q=blue+steel&oq=blue+steel&aq=f&aqi=g10&aql=&gs_sm=e&gs_upl=106394l107564l0l107954l10l7l0l0l0l0l234l1169l1.2.4l7l0) face from Zoolander, and all the stereotypes that go along with it. I think the female equivalent is the ubiquitous [duckface](http://www.google.ca/search?pq=male+model+face+blue+steel&hl=en&cp=6&gs_id=h&xhr=t&q=duckface&rlz=1W1ADFA_en&gs_sm=&gs_upl=&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&biw=1152&bih=606&wrapid=tljp131652628712306&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi) that always makes attractive girls look less attractive.
Of course you’re an attractive guy, you know that. But for me, there is a sort of formula that goes on in my head where arrogance and vanity detract hotness points. There’s nothing unattractive about confidence, but for me the combination of taking a random, gratuitous photo of yourself, the expression you used, and the fact that you’re asking people to rate you is less about confidence and more about “look-look-look! I’m hot!” Much hotter is a picture of an attractive man just going about his life while incidentally being hot, which you have going on in some of your other pics.
