Opinions on ultra left wing radio aka Air America

I think it’s funny. There’s no accounting for taste.

I agree that it’s funny, but you tell a joke once and then move on.

Short summary: Multicultural Communications owned the two stations in Chicago and Los Angeles that Air America Radio was using.

AAR paid for the Los Angeles station’s time for the start of March, and allowed Multicultural to use the air time for other programming until they went on the air.

Multicultural re-sold the same time to another group, and aired their programming in the unused time.

AAR cried “foul” that Multicultural was selling the same time twice, and held payment for the March air time difference.

Multicultural squawked, locked up both stations, and accused AAR of “bouncing a check.”

As far as I know, AAR is now looking for someone else to carry their stuff in Los Angeles and Chicago, and want to cut all ties with Multicultural.
And of course, if you want to get into conspiracy theories, the CEO of Multicultural Communications is reportedly a big-pocket Republican donor…

Oh, and I’ve been meaning to correct the OP Title…

AAR is not Ultra Left Wing. It’s anti right wing distortion. Rush and FOX and WSJ Editors have slanted so far to the right that what used to be common sense middle-of-the-road American Values are now considered “ultra-left.”

Now Pacifica Radio… that’s ultra left wing.

Why isn’t anybody talking about Pacifica?

Or did that staffing shake up of a year or so ago completely emasculate them?
