That’s what I thought. I figured the complete opposite of the blues would be something like Lawrence Welk.
That supports my contention that the Blues is about not getting laid, and Jazz is all about getting it.
Blues are the songs of despair, but gospel songs are the songs of hope.

I would say Bubblegum (from the 70’s) would be the opposite of Blues.
