Opus is the new Snoopy!
I have looked. The strip seen at the URL I gave previously hasn’t changed in two days, so it looks very much as if you can only get it by subscribing to My Comics Page.
It wasn’t just the ensemble cast; it was the whole environment they were in. Even in the later days of Outland, when they brought back most of the characters, it still didn’t have the Bloom County magic. There was no Closet of Anxieties. There was no Dandelion Hill. Gone were the days when a prepubescent mad scientist could clone a dead cat back to life, and that dead cat could go on to run for President. I guess that Outland was more cynical, while Bloom County was more… Blissful? Naïve? Simple? Whatever it was, it was the strength of the strip, and Outland didn’t have it.
Well! If Simon and Garfunkel are getting together again, I see no problem on a Death Tongue reunion!
Anyway, the problem wsn’t too much Opus–it was way too much Bill the Cat.
Ooph! I didn’t dare to enter this thread until today, fearing that Live Is Life was back!
